Using the MIT Travel Card will save you time on expense reporting because charges feed automatically into the travel expense reporting system.
VPF has created a new online training course that is now required for all new cardholders and strongly recommended for existing cardholders. The training is designed to ensure compliance with Institute and federal policies related to business travel on behalf of MIT. The course, Travel Policies for the Traveler, is available in the Atlas Learning Center. In addition, VPF has developed a course specifically for approvers of travel expense reports, found here: Travel Policies for the Approver.
Download the application form here. Fill it out and have it signed by your DLC's Administrative Officer (AO). The card will be mailed to your AO. You should allow five business days for processing.
Review MIT Travel Card policies and updated expense reporting requirements to understand the proper use of the card, and to learn the difference between the Travel Card and the Procurement Card (ProCard).
