Before you make a wire transfer, you must notify the receiving MIT department or office to ensure that MIT’s bank properly credits the payment.
Departments should notify VPF when expecting incoming wire transfers by email to wire-transfers@mit.edu. Provide the name of the party sending the wire, the dollar amount, the related cost object, expected date of arrival, and a department contact person.
