As of summer 2023, the position title for Institute’s Administrative Officers has changed to Director, Administration and Finance (DAF). Going forward VPF will use this position title and its acronym (DAF or DAFs) in our communications. VPF policies and tasks have been updated to reflect this change.

We will also expand DLC—a well-known and often-used abbreviation for the Institute’s departments, labs, and centers—to now include institutes, and abbreviate it as DLCI in future communications.

MIT has awarded a contract for packaged gas services to Linde Gas and Equipment effective July 1, 2023, following a formal request for proposal process conducted with community input by the Strategic Sourcing and Contracts team in the Office of the Vice President for Finance. As MIT’s Preferred supplier, Linde is charged with bringing excellent service and a streamlined billing and administrative process to its new relationship with MIT.
