New Payments & Reimbursements Tool Launches in Atlas

The VPF team is pleased to bring the MIT community a modernized, streamlined experience for small-dollar Payments & Reimbursements. Available via web application or mobile, this new tool allows for requests for payment and reimbursement to be reviewed and submitted in Atlas, and approved and tracked through Buy-to-Pay (B2P).

The new Payments & Reimbursements tool offers a number of benefits and improvements to the previous payment system, namely:

  • Security: The tool reduces vulnerability to cyberattacks and gives external individuals a secure way to register and maintain their account and banking details.
  • Simplicity: The tool represents a unified, streamlined experience within Atlas and B2P.
  • Efficiency: The tool enables quick payment to recipients via direct deposit.
  • Transparency: The tool offers full visibility into payment approval and transmission status.

VPF's Financial Operations team has begun reaching out to Departments, Lab, Centers, and Institutes (DLCIs) about facilitating training workshops on how to use the new tool. For more details, contact your DLCI's Director of Administration and Finance.
