Did You Know?

MIT’s procurement policies do not allow hazardous/dangerous materials (e.g., chemicals, biological toxins, radioactive materials, gas cylinders) to be delivered to any residential addresses, including residence halls and other student living groups. Deliver these materials to the lab that will be using them.
If you purchase from an MIT Preferred Supplier, competitive quotes (Selection of Source & Price Justification form) are not required, and the buying process can be expedited.
VPF Sourcing and Procurement is a resource to help you find a source, negotiate better terms and conditions, and resolve issues with the supplier.
There are many qualified small and diverse businesses, including local Cambridge providers, that may be a good fit for your needs. Email VPF's procurement manager Rositha Durham to learn more.
There are special considerations when purchasing from and paying non-U.S. suppliers. Read more here.
