New Options for Temporary Staffing
VPF Strategic Sourcing and Contracts and MIT Human Resources have recently signed two new temporary staffing agencies—Apex Systems and Beacon Hill Staffing—as MIT Preferred Suppliers. The addition of these two agencies significantly expands the categories of staffing options available to MIT’s DLCs to include life sciences, engineering, and IT support, as well as finance, human resources, project management, and other professional services.
Apex Systems provides life sciences staffing for lab support roles, and IT staffing in applications and data management, digital experience and content strategy, project management, and business operations.
Beacon Hill Staffing offers staffing in accounting and finance, human resources, IT, life sciences, other professional services, and administrative support positions for direct-hire, temporary staffing, contract consulting, and temp/contract-to-hire solutions.
They join Hollister Staffing and Professional Staffing Group (PSG)—both longstanding MIT Preferred Suppliers for temporary staffing. MIT recently renewed its contracts with Hollister and PSG, and they will continue to provide temporary staffing for administrative and support positions, as well as accounting and finance, human resources, and technology staffing services. In addition to these areas, PSG provides marketing and communications staffing and short-term staffing to assist with events and conferences (on and off campus).
All four agencies will remind hiring managers at the end of a temporary worker’s assignment to collect ID cards, retrieve any Institute property used during the temp assignment, and turn off electronic access to MIT’s building and systems as part of the off-boarding process.
