Make Purchases from Amazon in B2P

Publication Date
9/12/2019

In mid-July, Amazon was added to the roster of suppliers in Buy-to-Pay (B2P), enabling you to make purchases from Amazon via requisition and PO, as you would with any other B2P catalog. With this change, and coupled with the option to use the ProCard for Amazon purchases, all Amazon purchases made on behalf of MIT should be done through the official central MIT Business Account. This account provides many benefits to MIT; however, it should not be used for personal purchases.

The MIT Amazon Business Account offers MIT unlimited free two-day shipping on Amazon Prime items, automatically applies sales-tax exemptions to purchases from the 30 states where MIT has exemptions, and provides business pricing for more than six million items from Amazon and Amazon’s 75,000 affiliated business sellers. For more information about the MIT Amazon Business Account, please see the FAQs on the VPF website.
