Fundamentals of Financial Management is a six-hour class, held over a two-day period.
This session is scheduled for March 29 and March 30, 2018 from 9 am-12 pm.
This course is designed to provide the basic knowledge and skills needed to function effectively in a position with fiscal responsibilities. Using interactive group exercises, games, and case studies, participants learn basic concepts of financial administration at MIT and practice using these concepts in realistic work situations.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the Institute's cost object categories
- Identify SAP's cost object types
- Explain the Institute's secondary cost structure
- Create a project budget
- Forecast expenses on projects
PLEASE NOTE: Individuals who plan to attend this course MUST COMPLETE the online course Fundamentals of Financial Management Basics Web Course prior to attending the classroom session.
