5.00 Travel Insurance


The Institute has arranged for business travel accident insurance coverage. The summary of this catastrophic coverage can be found on the MIT Travel Office website, http://vpf.mit.edu/travel/policies_procedures/mit_p_p/mit_travel_accident_insurance

Repatriation and medical evacuation assistance must be arranged by MIT’s insurer. Policy number and insurer contact information can also be found under the same website.

Details

  • Coverage extended to Faculty, staff & students (“MIT Parties”) only
  • World-wide coverage to all MIT Parties while in travel status and on Institute business, excluding: commuting, , and personal travel when combined with MIT travel.
