In a major evolution of HR/Payroll services and a step toward an increasingly digital and sustainable MIT, ePaystubs replaced paper paystubs for MIT faculty, students, staff* as of July 30, 2010.

The service provides access to current and past paystubs through the Money Matters tab in SAPweb Employee Self Service, including access to archived paystubs initially back to Nov. 1, 2009. Moving forward the system will provide access to paystubs for the previous 24 months.

The development of the ePaystub capability reflects ongoing collaboration among HR, IS&T, and HR/Payroll to develop electronic payroll capabilities and to enhance the HR/Payroll experience. Among other initiatives on the horizon is the development of the capability to provide tax forms (such as W2s) digitally.

Non-union employees and students may request to receive paper stubs, in addition to ePaystubs, by submitting a request form (PDF).

*Union employees can view their ePaystubs on Employee Self Service. They may choose to go paperless -- that is, discontinue receiving paper paystubs -- simply by clicking “Go Paperless” on the Money Matters tab.
